Find Boone County Civil Dockets

Start with the court and the case type. That choice shapes any Boone County civil court docket search, because disputes, family matters, probate proceedings, and other public civil cases all leave a trail of filings in the docket. The statewide public system is the first stop. It shows case headers, filings, future events, judgments, and some document links. When an image is missing, a district case is not online, or an official copy is required, the local clerks finish the job. Read the Boone County civil docket in date order, and check the final signed order before trusting any status label.

Boone County Civil Case Codes

Not every noncriminal record is the same thing. A Boone County 05CV file is generally a civil case. The 05DR code points to domestic relations. The 05PR code points to probate. Juvenile matters fall under a separate category and can be restricted. Each prefix steers your docket search. It points toward the right case lookup and hints at which public details may appear.

Complaint or petition
The filing that opens a civil or special proceeding.
Answer
The responding party's filed reply to a claim or petition.
Motion
A request asking the court to rule on an issue.
Judgment
A final or appealable decision recorded by the court.
Satisfaction
A later filing that may show a judgment obligation was fulfilled.

The code names the Boone County file class, nothing more. It says nothing about the merits or the outcome. For that, read the actual docket text and the signed orders rather than guessing at an abbreviation borrowed from another state's practice.

Civil Dockets: What They Show

Think of a Boone County civil docket as a chronological register of activity. It can show a complaint or petition being filed, summons issuance, proof of service, answers, motions, responses, settings, continuances, orders, trial activity, judgment, enforcement, satisfaction, and appeal steps. Some public entries link straight to documents. Other filings must be requested from the clerk.

HeaderCase number, court, case type, filing date, judge, status, and public caption.
PartiesPlaintiff and defendant or petitioner and respondent roles where public.
ChronologyDated pleadings, service returns, motions, notices, hearings, orders, and appeal entries.
Future EventsThe next entered setting, subject to later reset orders and direct court confirmation.
JudgmentDisposition, judgment date, and recorded data, with the signed judgment controlling its terms.
DocumentsLinks for some public images; no link does not mean no filing exists.

A complaint states claims. It is not proof. A summons being issued does not prove service was completed either. These distinctions keep a Boone County civil docket from being read as a verdict before the court has entered one.

Boone County Civil Custodian Split

The Boone County Circuit Clerk maintains most circuit civil, domestic-relations, and public case records. District small-claims and lower civil files stay with the court department that heard them. That department belongs to the Fourth Judicial District Court. Probate needs an extra custody check. The official Boone County Clerk page states that the County Clerk maintains county and probate court records. Circuit probate case information may still appear online.

The county-clerk source lays out this split between Boone County civil and probate custody.

What Cases Fill the Civil Docket

Boone County Circuit Court is the main forum for civil disputes within circuit jurisdiction, domestic-relations proceedings, and probate matters handled under the circuit structure. District Court handles small claims and civil disputes within its current statutory authority. Dollar thresholds can change. Confirm the court's present jurisdiction through the Arkansas District Courts page. Do not rely on an old limit.

A city name alone will not pick the court. Use the case heading, filing number, or summons to tell circuit custody from district custody.

Boone County Civil Service Clues

Service entries get misread often. The clerk can issue a summons as soon as it is processed, but completed service requires a return or proof of delivery under the applicable rules. A Boone County civil docket that says "summons issued" with no later return is not proof that the responding party was served.

Later steps depend on proper service. An answer may join the dispute. A motion may ask the court to resolve part or all of it. Default does not arise from the word "issued" alone. Procedural requirements and court action still matter. When the docket language is unclear, request the public summons, return, and resulting order from the Boone County Circuit Clerk rather than inferring what happened.

Note: Docket entries mark filed activity, but the underlying document supplies the facts needed to understand that activity.

Hearings on the Civil Docket

Search ARCourts lists upcoming civil events for a Boone County case. The court offers no separate daily calendar. Open the case and note the newest event. Then scan later filings for a continuance or reset order. A continuance keeps the older event in the history. A newer entry supplies the live setting. Compare the portal with the most recent notice from the court before relying on any date.

A Boone County civil setting may be a status conference, motion hearing, docket call, bench trial, jury trial, or review. The label describes the scheduled purpose. It is not a guaranteed result. A continuance request does not cancel the Boone County appearance until the court approves it.

For a circuit setting, call the Boone County Circuit Clerk at 870-741-5560 with the case number. Confirm district civil and small-claims dates with Harrison at 870-741-2788 or Alpena at 870-849-8602. Ask about the date, time, and location. Also ask about the judge and the required appearance mode.

Boone County Civil Outcome Terms

Civil dockets can end several ways. A voluntary nonsuit, dismissal with prejudice, dismissal without prejudice, default judgment, summary judgment, agreed order, trial judgment, and settlement followed by dismissal each carry a distinct procedural meaning. Do not treat the labels as synonyms. A bare "closed" status says nothing about who prevailed.

Read the order: use the signed Boone County judgment or dismissal to determine the result, scope, and controlling terms.

Post-judgment entries do not reopen the original Boone County civil merits by themselves. A writ of execution, garnishment, abstract, or satisfaction records enforcement or payment activity instead. A notice of appeal begins review. Transcript preparation and certification may follow. The Circuit Clerk lists a $150 district-court appeal fee. That filing charge is not a fee for obtaining a copy.

Who Can See Civil Dockets

Anyone may look at a Boone County civil docket. Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 sets the rules for what stays public. Its full text spells out the details. Order 19.1 governs redaction. Some material comes out before a docket goes public: Social Security numbers, protected account numbers, protected addresses, and the identity of minors. Sealed documents, adoption records, and confidential juvenile or family case material can be excluded too.

Arkansas court resources for Boone County civil docket access

That access follows Arkansas court rules and forms. It is not a promise that every filed image will appear online.

Access boundary: a missing document link may mean the public image was not posted or that the record is restricted. Ask the custodian which applies.

The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act governs many government records. Court case records are different. Access to them runs chiefly through Supreme Court authority and Administrative Order 19. A case number will not override a seal or confidentiality rule.

Boone County Civil Copy Requests

The Boone County Circuit Clerk has published no dedicated civil-copy request form. So put your request in writing. Give your contact and delivery information, the case number, court or division, public case style, exact filing title and date, plain or certified choice, number of copies, and a request for a cost and timing quote. Skip unnecessary personal identifiers in ordinary email.

Use Suite 203 at 100 North Main Street, Harrison, Arkansas 72601 for counter or mail requests. Published circuit channels include phone 870-741-5560 and fax 870-741-4335. Email reaches jkharriscircuitclerk@boonecounty-ar.gov. Plain copies run $0.25 per page. Certified copies are listed at $5. Ask the clerk how that charge applies and whether postage or advance payment is due. Hearing transcripts come from the court reporter, not the docket clerk.

A portal result is not the whole record. Use the broader Boone County court case records process to tell a docket printout from a filed image, plain copy, certified copy, or verbatim transcript.

Boone County Civil Referral Entries

The Fourteenth Judicial Circuit administrative plan allows certain referrals to district judges. That covers some consent civil, domestic-relations, probate, emergency, and uncontested work. So a Boone County civil event may carry a judge name you did not expect. That does not signal a new system. Nor does it signal a new case number.

Anchor on the case header. Compare the judge, division, referral entry, and later order. The official administrative plan explains assignments and referral mechanics. It is not a daily calendar. It cannot replace the filed order. When the docket leaves the assignment unclear, call the clerk with the case number and ask which division holds the next setting.

Older Boone County civil and probate records may predate Search ARCourts. The County Clerk notes historical wills from the county's early record era. Ask which office index or archive covers the year, because an online absence never proves there is no public file.
